Working Pattern: 35 hours per week Monday to Saturday

Salary: £24,000 - £26,500 per annum
The Role
Sport Development projects provide young people with the opportunity to participate in a wide range of sports activities. The projects focus on increasing participation, developing a love for sport and creating positive learning environments for all involved.
The Senior Sports Development Coach (SSDC) supports the Sports Development Manager with the organising and delivery of key initiatives such as Bertie's Footy Stars, football hubs, walking football, activity camps/soccer schools and matchday activities. The SSDC takes a key role in supporting the delivery of wider football and sport development initiatives including our player development centre.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and evaluate of coaching sessions to ensure high standards and customer service are maintained.
- To support the coordination of staffing and delivery for Soccer Schools, Bertie's Footy Stars, walking football, football hubs and other sports development projects, whilst ensuring all sessions are financially viable and sustainable.
- Support the marketing and promotion of sports development projects, working closely with the Marketing department.
- To undertake appropriate administrative duties in relation to the projects, to ensure the smooth running of the project e.g., maintain accurate attendance registers, organise sessions, fixtures, transport and collect monies, etc.
- Organisation and distribution of flyers and promotional material.
- To liaise with training venues where sport development projects are being delivered and ensure all equipment is available for staff and kept in a useable condition.
- Quality assurance of sport development projects including spot checks on delivery staff.
- Monitoring and evaluating sport development projects and the impact of delivery, logging key data on salesforce.
- To understand and implement the Charity’s Safeguarding policy, procedures, and best practice guidelines in your role. To use this understanding to ensure safe working practices, appropriate reporting of concerns and contribute positively to a safe environment.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Level 2 Coaching Award
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs including grades A to C in English and Math’s or equivalent
- Experience of planning and
- delivering regular sport coaching sessions.
- Delivering community-based football/sport provision, with all youth ages and abilities.
- Time management skills to be able to plan and regulate workload including the ability to prioritise demands and thrive under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent IT skills, including intermediate abilities in all MS Office programmes.
