Eligibility: Young people aged 12 to 17 years. Membership of the Youth Board will end when a member reaches their 18th birthday.
Closing Date: Friday, 9th October 2026
Interview Dates: Monday, 26th October 2026, Tuesday, 27th October 2026 and Wednesday, 28th October 2026.

Role Purpose:
The Youth Board exists to ensure the voices of young people are heard, valued, and reflected in the organisation's services, programmes, and decision-making. Youth Board Members work together to represent their peers, provide feedback on sessions and programmes, contribute to recruitment activities, review policies and procedures to ensure they are youth-friendly, and help develop social action projects. They collaborate across departments, strengthen community connections, and play an active role in shaping services that meet the needs and aspirations of young people.
Your Contribution & Impact:
Key Responsibilities
Attend and actively participate in regular Youth Board meetings.
Represent the views and experiences of peers.
Contribute to session and programme evaluation.
Support the planning and delivery of social action projects.
Review policies and procedures to ensure they are youth-friendly and accessible.
Suggest and support ways to engage and connect with the local community.
Participate in recruitment activities where appropriate.
Work collaboratively with different departments across the organisation.
Contribute to discussions, engagement activities, and decision-making processes.
Champion youth voice and promote meaningful participation.

Be reliable and able to attend Youth Board meetings and related activities where possible.

Be interested in reviewing programmes, projects, policies, and services to ensure they meet the needs of young people.
Be enthusiastic about working with staff, volunteers, and young people from different backgrounds.
Be willing to learn new skills and take part in training and development opportunities.
